Sundays are the perfect day for relaxed portraits especially with my family. Sunday felt so good to just kick back and enjoy some life style photography of my cousin Gianni and our extended family. Beautiful horse, white picket fences, old farm equipment and Chevy trucks from the 1940′s and you got a perfect places for photographs. I love photographing in places like this because it bring me back to my childhood day where the city I live in once used to be a small small cow town. My childhood experience 20 years ago would be yellow fields and tall grass with trees towering over you made it the perfect place for the imagination to run free. It’s amazing what can change over the course of twenty years. One of my favorite things about old places, run down cars, out dated farm equipment, abandon warehouses is many of these things have seen more than some of us have seen in a life time. That give it so much character and history to tell a wonderful story about. Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day with a crisp breeze to chill your cheeks but warm enough to make you smile. I love this time of the year when summer begins to transition to fall and green shades soon turn to bright colors of oranges, yellows and reds.
Sunday was utter bliss with Gianni cracking me up with his niffy poses hehe. He’s getting so big and cute, hes going to be a heart breaker kid one day =) Dress to impress, Gianni was ready to roll out in his John Deer boots, overalls and lil rebel cowboy hat. He was mega excited for the shoot and so was I. Gianni joins the Allen family as the 4th Generation of the Allen Family and it was a super special shoot for Gianni’s Great Grand Father of 93 to be photographing with his son, grandson and great grandson. How extra ordinary is that? Quite a rare occasion and something to surely cherish. We had a fantastic time shooting around the farm and in and around the house. There were so many amazing treasures to be found throughout the house. There was a chair from 1886, old school spin dial telephone, a egg scale to measure the weight of an egg before released to sell on the open market, old kitchen ware and a old dusty Folgers Coffee can from 1850. Gianni was so happy on Sunday and everyone was so thrilled to see him so happy and happiness just oozed on the whole photo shoot. Gianni is going to grow up to be one amazing boy because he’s got two absolutely amazing parents. Gianni, high five to a job well done buddy. =) I hope you all enjoy some of the snippets from the day. Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers,
Stephen
